Fresh from their award winning boutique festival frolics last August at the majestic National Trust venue, Dyrham Park (near Bristol), the Bloom Festival returns to our senses with a pre-Festival Season Tour building up to this years three day and night extravaganza that will see Bloom return to its established festival calendar dates of 8 – 10 August.

Whilst the warm glow of summer sunshine may seem a way off right now, Bloom Festival on Tour aims to take its unique ice-melting beats to a selection of venues up and down the length and breadth of the country. Great nights out in their own right, Bloom Festival on Tour will give you a snapshot of the good vibes inherent throughout Bloom s al fresco summer fun and a taste of what s to come at the main event itself.

The tour kick starts at London s KOKO on 8th March which will further witness the grand unveiling of the Bloom Festival 2008 details and line-up this summer.

Elektrons Manchester DJs, Justin Crawford
(ex-Manc downtempo unit Only Child and former bassist with 90s indie kids New Fast Automatic Daffodils) and Luke Cowdrey.

The pair also have a club night called Electric Chair and spin discs as the Unabombers. For their latest venture, a sort of nu-soul enterprise, they’re calling themselves Elektrons. It’s a term that enables a variety of musicians from different genres to work under one umbrella and culminated in last year s superb melting-pot of acid-house-disco-soul-funk album that is Red Light, Don t Stop .

Catch them in all their live glory at KOKO this march as they headline the first of many Bloom nights across the UK.

Caged baby aka Tom Gandey declared his undying love for Bloom last summer by describing it as the best UK festival he s played at bar none so it would only be right to have the maverick beatsmith back for the tour of 2008.

A welcome return from the South coast maestro! Super Nashwan are fronted by singer and uber-guitarist Johnny Nashwan, (whose vicious slide guitar has been praised this year by the likes of Sea Sick Steve, Anton Newcombe and Brendan Benson).

Johnny surrounds himself with super-charged Gospel singers, a manic scouse rhythm
section and the hottest hitting girl drummer on the scene- and plays tunes packed with biting post-modern lyrics and banging dance-floor sensibility. Super Nashwan s songs have caused a tsunami sized stir from the underground through to UK National Radio and further- getting heavy attention in the US Radio circuit.
Riton (aka Henry Smithson) has really come of age in the last few years.

Having already released singles on his own Switch label, he then went on to record an album for Grand Central before a hook up with Ben Fat Trucker led to the Gucci Sound System and the highly regarded club night Druzzi s Baltimore Rave Club . Already a DJ and producer of note his next project looks set to be a collaboration with Soulwax s Dewaele brother s under the moniker, Die Verboten.

All we can say is, watch this space…
Taking the orchestra to venues more commonly associated with DJs and rock bands, the London Breakbeat Orchestra demonstrates that orchestral instruments can be used for far more than classical music.

Killer grooves, turntablism and FX plus 30 virtuoso instrumentalists combine to
create unique floor fillers live. This is orchestral music as you’ve never heard it before so get yourself down to Bloom s tour at Koko,
Lazermagnetic DJs Neil Thornton and Johnny Hiller are hosting one of the bars featuring Richard Sen s Padded Cell outfit who will be further celebrating the release of their debut album.
