BLOOM 2008 – LOCATION ANNOUNCED & TOUR DATES
First of all a huge thank you to everyone who made it to Koko earlier this
month. It was without doubt one of the best events Bloom have staged so
far - a stunning venue, fantastic music and over 1000 happy smiling
people - superb!
Bloom are also pleased to announce a new location for this year’s
Festival:
BLOOM FESTIVAL 2008 will take place from friday 8th to Sunday 10th
August at Seven Springs, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, GL53 9QN.
Whilst their event at Dyrham Park last year was a great success, the site
used was a bit on the snug side and so Bloom HQ set out to find a space
with more room for camping and all the extra fun bits they have lined up
this year.
The main priorities for their search were:
• To find a space close to the 2007 location
• To ensure easy access by car and public transport
• To find a location with charm and personality
Their search took them to a number of locations dotted around the South
West, whereby they eventually stumbled upon “Seven Springs”, set in the
heart of the Gloucestershire countryside just outside of Cheltenham and is
thought to be the exact location where the River Thames originates.
The new site is ideally located - just 2 miles from Cheltenham and 5 mins
drive from junction 11a on the M5. The land Bloom is using is situated on
a ridge which overlooks the City and has panoramic views of the Malvern
Hills off in the distance. It really is quite a beautiful spot and Bllom hope to
make Seven Springs their home for the foreseeable future.
Bloom have officially sold ALL of their Early Bird Tickets for 2008 which
means that over 10% of their total ticket allocation is already spoken for.
Further still, Bloom have decided to hold the ticket price at £50.00 until the
1st April, after which the price will go up to £85.00 plus booking fee. At this
point they will be making their first line up announcements which we for
one are very excited about! So take advantage of the very last opportunity
you will have to purchase cheap weekend festival tickets - believe us,
when you see what’s in store it will seem like the bargain of the century!

Bloom returns to Bristol for the first time since the mind blowing
shenanigans witnessed at last years festival. Not only is this our Bristol
Reunion, but we are also very very pleased to be hosting Jamie Lidell’s
official album launch.
In 2008 he combines this breathtaking performance
with the power of his new full band, bringing JIM to cities around the
country. Support comes in the form of vocalist Mara Carlyle and DJ sets
from Bonobo, Kid Fiesta and a variety of our friends from Bristol.
Jamie’s London show has already sold out so be quick and get your
tickets ASAP.
