Jimmy Woo likes extravagance but also appreciates privacy. Both aspects are reflected in the design and the bar layout. Gold leaf, black lacquer walls, Japanese lanterns and a genuine antique opium bed remind one of the closing moments of Once Upon a Time in America. Jimmy Woo offers the state-of-the-art in twenty-first century entertainment, with the very best sound system imported from London and a fascinating illuminated ceiling, revealing more than twelve thousand tiny light bulbs.

The décor of Jimmy Woo exists of authentic Asian and modern western elements, using chic and sexy materials such as leather, booklet gold, silk and other unique fabrics exclusively designed for his taste. Jimmy Woo’s choice of these oriental antique furniture pieces date as far back as the 18th century.

This includes antique lamps, tables and an authentic original opium bed which is of set by modern elements including soft lights emanating from the floor. The chic lounge upstairs is where Jimmy greets his guests. It exists of the trendy booths where you can have your most private conversations, and the sexy main lounge area.

Jimmy Woo has been inspired by certain well-known artists. The visitor will immediately be taken by the sensually stimulating photographs by the Dutch photographer Paul Berends, murals by Mark van Holden and the ingenious interior design created by the trend setting bureau, B.Inc. Interior Stuff from Eric Kuster. They have created a fitting backdrop for the expert team of cocktail shakers, top DJs and managers.

Music

Jimmy has prepared a night of going out where clubbing is taken to an unknown level. One of the most important aspects of a nightclub is its sound. Specially designed by Funktion One and imported from London, Jimmy Woo guarantees the best sound available at this moment. As well in music and sound, Jimmy Woo strives for high quality.

The music management is directed by the clubs managers, but supported by Amsterdam’s finest DJ’s. Every night has its own resident DJ who will guarantee a premium and most up-to-date selection of today’s music. The music line-up exists of an eclectic mix of Hip Hop, R&B, Disco, Soul, Funk and House. Pleasure is assured with his line-up of professional DJ’s, the hosts of your evening at Jimmy Woo.

Beverage

Shakemaster and mixologist Ricardo Sporkslede, famous from The Fabulous Shaker Boys, has been responsible for the design of the cocktail bar, the cocktail list itself and training of all bar personnel. The cocktails at Jimmy Woo are all “custom made”, created exclusively for Jimmy. A true taste sensation!

Jimmy Woo is located at Korte Leidsewarsstraat 45, a side street from Leidseplein.

Bus: 170, 172, 142 from Central Station to Leidseplein.

Tram: 1, 2, 5 from Central Station to Leidseplein or 6, 7, 10 to Leidseplein.

Car: From the highway A10 take the ring Amsterdam turn (S109) direction Rai / Rivierenbuurt /Centrum.

Parking

Parking is possible in several car parks nearby Leidseplein: Q-Park Europarking at the Marnixstraat and Q-Park Byzantium beside the entrance of the Vondelpark.
