Press Release:

The third edition of the South-East European Music Еvent

Since it’s launch in May 2006 the South-East European Music Event (SeeMe) has positioned itself as the main event in the region for industry professionals and music fans alike to join together, exchange ideas and keep up-to-date with the latest trends and developments.

SeeMe 3 will take place from 5th – 7th June 2008 at the Historic Central Military Club in the heart of Sofia.

And for 3 days and nights the city will open its doors for DJs, producers, club promoters, label managers, industry professionals and the numerous fans of the electronic music scene. This years event promises to be bigger and better, having already attracted some of the best local and international artists including; Killa Kella, Pendulum, Satoshi Tomiie, James Zabiela, Lee Buridge, M.A.N.D.Y, Lottie, Misstress Barbara, Fergie, Laidback Luke, Barbara Tucker. Line up for 2008 will be announced soon.

SeeMe was conceived to create a connection between the industry professionals in the region and the event has opened doors where previously there were none.

Says event founder & director Maria GergovaSeeMe was the first event of its kind in the region and was started to help promote the new and exciting talents in South-East Europe. For the past two years SeeMe positioned itself as one of the biggest and most important ones for the clubbing music culture in the region. It started with great success and we believe that it will become most memorable event in South Europe’s club music scene at all,”

This year SeeMe also has the support of Maria Ilieva who is the most successful female artist of the contemporary music scene in Bulgaria.

I am very happy that I’ll have the chance to be part of the music event that has already become one of international importance – and the music event SeeMe, is one of a kind in the Balkans. My excitement is event bigger, because during SeeMe with Keith Thompson we will present for the first time in front of an audience our mutual project – the single “Truly”.

SeeMe has three basic components conference, exhibition and festival. The conference and exhibition will supply an extremely diverse environment during the day, which will be followed by incredible parties that will rock right through the night.

Conference Seminars, discussions and workshops commenting on the newest and most topical themes in the music industry and opportunities to meet international business partners and introduce their business to and new audience.

Exhibition companies and representatives of the music industry will focus your attention on new products and services. This is the place that creates the vital synthesis of science, technology and creativity.

Festival SeeMe exploded out into a multi genre music festival and has steadily grown to be the premier cutting edge electronic music event in South East Europe. With a love of all musical genres, alternative, underground and mainstream, SeeMe will have a mind boggling array of artists from all over the world.

The Conference Package costs only 90 EUR if you register before 1st May (and 130 EUR after) and provides access to the conference, contact zone, database, exhibition and networking area, as well as entrance to the official SeeMe party.

Artist/DJ Quotes:

“SeeMe was awesome and exceeded my expectations… So many up for it people, they made this a great thing to be a part of and I hope to come to back to Bulgaria, fantastic.” James Zabiela / UK

“SeeMe was great and although there was not a huge turnout I feel like we planted a seed for the growth of Dance/Electronic music in Bulgaria.” Hector Romero / Saw Recordings / USA

“SEEME will definitely put Sofia and that corner of the world on the map. Thanks to that event I discovered a really cool place where the people are nice, the food is good and the city is really pretty. Even if SEEME was at its first stage, I am sure it brings a lot of music knowledge to the crowd while it gives foreigners so much knowledge on everything else.” Misstress Barbara / Canada

Thanx to every one who was at the party on Saturday, I hope all the crazy people that were there for my set enjoyed it as much as i did…hope to see all you soon…” Fergie / Ireland

“SEEME is a music convention that reminds me of the early Winter Music conference when business got done. This will be a Must Attended convention in the next few years!” Georgie Porgie / USA

“SEEME was a very good opportunity to attract the attention of industry people from countries with long dance music tradition like the UK and the US. It was good for us to make a statement - something is happening over here and it is fresh and alive. It is worth coming to South East Europe and especially Bulgaria for business and party as well.” DJ Steven / Metropolis / Bulgaria

“The ironic thing is that we thought we’d come to Bulgaria to show
them how to party!”, DJ Magazine
