There is a new spot to let it hang out in New York this year, smack in the middle of NY’s Night Club District, hosted by some well known veterans in NYC Night Life.

Prime Nightclub, located at 511 W 28th Street (between 10th and 11th avenues) is the vision of Carlo Seneca, Gary Malhotra, and John “JE” Englebert.

Originally from Staten Island , NY, John Englebert nicknamed “JE” started his nightlife career in the early 1990s as a promoter at in infamous TUNNEL and TWILO nightclubs.

Carlo Seneca a contractor also from Staten Island specializes in building projects in the hospitality industry. His company CA Seneca construction has built the venues: QUO and MYST nightclubs, RETOX and Buddha Bar, Suzie Wong Saki lounge and now PRIME Night Club.

Gary Malhotra a lawyer originally from Queens, New York.

According to Prime co-owner “JE”:

We brought on Steven Lewis an old school night life vet turned designer who could also help us with marketing, consulting and get the place running right. He has designed places like HOME, GUESTHOUSE, MARQUEE, BUTTER and is a great guy to have on your team.

We all sat around for weeks with friends, employees trying to come up with a name for the place, name tossing ideas back and fourth. Eventually “PRIME” was mentioned because of the great solid prime location of the club on W28th corner of 10th avenue right smack in the heart of the NYC nightclub district. So we just went with it and PRIME was born.

Prime plays a mash-up of of Rock, Pop, Hip Hop with a little House.
Recent Preforming DJ’s include DJ AM, DJ Jazzy Jeff, DJ Reach, DJ Roctakon and the resident on Saturday is DJ ZONE who really kills it!

Prime just recently hosted the GEN ART film festival after party which was a great night, with many more special events to come.
