iMix Remix Launching a New P2P iTunes Community

Next Week, 124 Beats Per Minute, will be launching a new project that will bring Music Enthusiasts together.
iMix Remix, (www.imixremix.com), is a free community where participants can submit their iTunes iMix’s, and share their Musical Taste, Experience and Expertise, with others who are looking for New Music Ideas, and Suggestions, or Classic Reminders of Music once listened to.
Since Apple added iMix to iTunes, which allows users to create play lists of Favorites from the iTunes catalog of Millions of Songs, and Exclusives….the iMix has been a popular function of the music management, and download platform, which is used by millions of users worldwide.
iMix Remix will bring together people who know music, with people who are looking for music, with a few added extras to ad some fun and informative interaction.
- Users have the option of submitting their iMixes with a personal photo (email), or the default CD covers, (form).
- Each iMix posted has it’s own unique URL, (ie: www.imixremix.com/tinas-wedding-playlist), to help make promotion and searching easier, either on the site itself, or using major search engines like Google.
- Submitters are encouraged to ad expressive descriptions of why their compilation is important to them, or short bio’s to let others know who posted the compilation.
- You will be able to leave, and get comments on your favorite iMixes.
- Users can submit their Website of Blog URL with their compilation to further give an overview of the poster, or to Promote a Product, Service, Cause, or just general website promotion.
- Submitted Compilations are categorized for easier searching and access.
We think it brings a little more credibility and excitement to the “mix†when others know a little bit about the person submitting the compilation.
If you have a personal compilation that was the play list for your wedding…I am sure there is another person in the world that is about to get married, and looking for suggestions……and that’s the whole idea behind iMix Remix, for users who know music to share with others that are looking for music ideas, and suggestions.
Currently still in Beta, until early next week, participation, submissions and suggestions are welcome starting today. “It will help us work out any kinks, and build a base before we pull it out, next week”, says Harold Mansfield, Editor of 124 Beats Per Minute, and iMix Remix.
Participation is free. There is no need to sign up, or join anything.
All you need is an Email Address, and iTunes , both of which are free. You don’t need to purchase anything to make an iMix through iTunes, it is open to everyone. The site links to Tutorials, as well as iTunes Downloads to help get you started. It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3.
- Create Your iMix on iTunes
- Submit your compilation using out easy submission from, (or email)
- Start Promoting your mix.
